Most of my childhood memories revolve around food. From watching my Mum prepare our family favourites: chicken, leek and parsley pie and spare ribs, to helping my Grandpa make scones and baking chocolate chip cookies with my Granny. We often joke that I can pinpoint any occasion based on what we ate, a talent I have been cultivating over the years.
Like many, I really enjoy making food, especially to share with family and friends. It is a love that has developed throughout my life, so much so that I wanted to start sharing my favourite recipes with everyone.
Sourcing and eating quality ingredients is at the heart of my cooking. I was fortunate to grow up, by and large, eating seasonal, sustainable and local produce, something that I never took much notice of when I was younger, but recently I have become more aware of. There is a growing interest in eating consciously with many people, particularly my generation, becoming actively involved in sustaining and preserving the environment.
I am self-taught and love experimenting in the kitchen, learning new skills and creating interesting recipes to expand my repertoire.
